5. Cookies, links and embedded content
For more about how enquiries, project records and connected accounting services are handled in our private business tool, see the Quote Studio privacy notice and internal-use licence terms.
The website may use essential technical storage or cookies needed for reliable and secure operation. The homepage also contains embedded Instagram content. When that content loads, Meta may receive technical information and may use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy terms.
Our Design My System and review forms are hosted on this website. Design My System answers, photographs and any electricity bill you upload are saved securely with your enquiry in our private Quote Studio, using our website hosting provider’s storage. Access to these files requires authorised access to Quote Studio. A copy may also be delivered to our business email through FormSubmit, which also delivers website reviews to us. Google Apps Script and Google email services use the email address supplied with these forms to send the requested submission confirmation or review thank-you. Links to Google reviews, Instagram and other third-party websites take you away from our website, and those services control their own use of personal information. You can control or delete cookies using your browser settings, although blocking essential technology may affect how a service works.
6. International transfers
Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law requires it, we rely on an adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguards designed to protect personal information.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose collected. General enquiries are normally kept for up to 24 months. Records connected with quotations, completed work, contracts, invoices, certification, warranties or legal claims may usually be kept for up to seven years after the relevant transaction or for longer where a warranty or law requires it. We may keep a minimal record where needed to respect an opt-out or establish a legal position.
8. Security
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please contact us if you believe information has been compromised.
9. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask us for access to your personal information, to correct or erase it, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. This does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
Your right to object: you may object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing at any time.
To exercise a right, email info@renewablespecialists.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
10. Complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data-protection regulator, through ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.
